By placing your order with us your are agreeing to accept our terms and conditions as below.

ORDERS

RETURNS

Once received your order  will be checked, packed and shipped within 24 hours. You will receive a separate email including your tracking number as soon as your order has been dispatched.

Any orders placed and paid for via merchant online payment methods provided will be charged the processing fee that Watermans of York incur if the online order is cancelled and a refund requested.

Delivery times are for reference only and commences from the date of shipping.  Delivery time is subject to the acceptance of your order and may take longer than expected due to customs clearance procedures in certain countries. Deliveries may be delayed due to the holiday season.

All applicable customs and import duties and fees, taxes and any other charges and fees are the responsibility of the customer (even if you refuse any shipments upon delivery). We ship your package DDU, "duties and taxes unpaid", and we do not collect the VAT, duties and/or taxes and cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If your order does require these additional charges, they must be paid by you in order for your package to clear customs. Some countries may require additional fees paid Collect on Delivery (COD). These fees are paid to the local carrier and are not collected by Watermans of York.

Any items returned to Watermans with duties/VAT un paid will only be restocked after inspection with refund of 50% less any postal costs incurred by Watermans of York.

All goods  ordered from us are subject to our returns policy as outlined below.

​

For all returns please send an email and submit a returns request within seven days of receiving your order.

Our customer services department determine eligibility for refunds and exchanges once customers have

contacted us and explained their reason for return. Returning packages without prior approval will halt or

delay the returns process.

​

All returned items must be in brand new condition, unused and with original tags and packaging. Requests

to return items due to quality issues, damage during shipping, style or colour error or allergic reaction from use must be accompanied by photos or other evidence that clearly shows the problem with the item or items received. ( Perceived colour difference due to the display settings of your computer monitor are not grounds for a refund.)

Once a watch has been returned it will be individually inspected. If  found to be in an unsaleable condition

the request will not be processed. Watches that are returned damaged due to having the back of the watch removed, tampered with or scratched, will not be eligible for a refund or exchange.

 

 A handling fee of £15.00 per item will be charged on all non faulty items . Postage costs will not be refunded.

 

It is the responsibility of the customer to pay for all shipping charges and import duties or tax incurred for returning your item.

We strongly recommend that you send any returns by registered post and that the delivery service used insures you for the full value of the goods/item being returned. We cannot take responsibility for any items lost without proof of delivery.

After passing a visual and functional test, your watch or watches are then photographed three times to record their physical condition before delivery to you. This ensures to our customers that all watches are free of damage before delivery. This process also serves to keep a record of each watch sent and ensures customers receive the watch or watches ordered. In the event that your watch has been delivered faulty or damaged during transit you must notify us with 24 hours of receipt. Failure to do so will invalidate your warranty.

Quartz movement 1 year warranty, excludes watch batteries.

We strongly recommend the following when your watch battery or strap need changing;

 

(I) That your watch is returned to Watermans for changing (at charge) or

 

(II) your watch is taken to a qualified Jeweller or watchmaker to carry out this process.

 

Due to the complexity of the inner construction of the watch any manual work undertaken by a non qualified person is likely to short circuit the watch and stop it working completely. Any work done outside of the above remit will negate the watch warranty immediately and will not be accepted by our returns at Watermans.

Any consequential damage or scratches caused to the watch casing, watch strap or watch face due to accidental damage or by attempting to gain access to internal movement with the use of pen knives, screw drivers are at the customers own loss and are not covered by warranty.

Any attempt to remove the back of your watch  or works undertaken by a non qualified  watchmaker will invalidate your warranty.

Your information is used for administration and reporting purposes including ( but not limited to) performance analysis, statistical analysis at Waterman's of York. Comments and feedback that you provide us maybe be used or shown on our website form time to time in connection of promotion of our goods.
